The Old Shooting Lodge is a privately run house with some bed and breakfast facilities with comfortable furnishings throughout, which was formally part of the Pitfour Estate, home to Major James Ferguson. Situated in a quiet rural setting in the heart of the Buchan countryside set in mature grounds. We are just half a mile from the Aden Country Park where you can walk the nature trail or visit the farming museum
In 2009 we added two 3 bedroom self catering lodges to our site, this provides visitors with the option of hiring self catering accommodation for stays of between 3 days and 12 weeks. The lodges sleep up to 4 adults and 2 children per lodge and is ideal and more cost effective for larger groups.
Situated 30 miles North of Aberdeen, Scotlands third largest City, we are conveniently situated for visitors wishing to explore the North East region of Scotland and Royal Deeside. Being just 10 miles from the coast you can visit the Banffshire coast, Scotland's undiscovered treasure. We are close to the famous Whisky Trail and within close proximity to many fine golf courses. From your base here in Aberdeenshire you can take a trip across to the beautiful Cairngorm National Park or visit Balmoral Castle in Royal Deeside. There are many other fine country houses and castles close by, many managed by The National Trust Scotland and Historic Scotland to visit throughout Aberdeenshire, being part of the Castle Trail
